He is married, with two children, both in their mid-teens. His wife, however, is a much different story. On his first assignment off-world, taking up a post on the Kiwi homeworld of Kierwyn, his ship was ambushed. During the escape, his wife was taken prisoner and handed over to the Queen of the Crown. This resulted in the transformation of Eliza Foxx into a Slaverlord. While her body was recovered, the properties of the psychocrystal meant that unless both halves of the crystal were joined, she would not awaken from the psychic coma from which she was placed.
It was due to this sudden uprising of danger to all humans that Zachery Foxx was given command of the Series V Galaxy Ranger team. This specialist team was involved in the major incidents that led to the events detailed in Chrysalis, and the recovery of Eliza Foxx's Psychocrystal along with the death of the Queen of the Crown.
Zach's Series V Implant enhances bionic components all along his left side, enabling him to overcharge his bionics for added strength and leverage, as well as the Thunderbolt - a beam of energy sixteen times more potent than the Ranger's Pulse Laser Carbines.
